Just Finished another Linocut for my exhibition Curiouser and Curiouser at the Firestation Print Studio in Melbourne in September of this year.
In the work for this exhibition I have used the Alice in Wonderland elements as metaphors for modern life. I think of the rabbit as the knowing, Alice is wanting to find the rabbit to understand what is going on. But as with any long held desire at some point the desperateness must give way. It cannot sustain itself indefinitely. It is just too exhausting. This is the letting go of this image, and the rabbit doesn’t really care either.
