Back from Albany
Thanks to the Vancouver Arts Centre, Amber and Rachael for a lovely two weeks in Albany.
This is the work I made over the 2 weeks, it isn’t a very coherent group of works. But these 2 weeks were more about starting ideas and gathering information and soaking up the place. Some of this I think will feed into the group exhibition at Heathcote in May which I am a part of – Seven Printmakers Respond to Place. The coast line in Albany is beautiful and I took a lot of photos while I was there. The doorways and windows are from the Mary Thompson House where I stayed, so you never know what will be the inspiration. I find doorways and windows to be a beautiful visual metaphor.
