Work coming together for exhibition "Seven Printmakers Respond to Place"
I have been busy making, for the group exhibition I am part of at Heathcote Gallery running from 28th of May to the 3rd of July. It is going to be excellent. Seven printmakers with very unique work responding to the idea of place in different ways.
My work – still inspired by Alice in Wonderland but now drypoint instead of linocut, explores psychological aspects of place. (Not surprising for those of you who know my work.) Questioning; what does it mean to be in a good place? How does the internal imaginative world of the individual compare to the external physical place. A poetic interpretation of everyday life events.
The opening night is Friday 27th of May 6pm – 8pm at Heathcote Gallery, Duncraig Road Applecross. Save the Date.
